My dears, the sun sets consistantly.
The light on our souls is diminishing steadily,
As our worlds darken and succumbs to shadows.
Hope, it seems, is dwindling--
As our faces, they break
As our prayers, they erase

As our work, it crumbles

For the unfailing turn of day
Promises the hate of the night,
Bitter, cold, hopeless, empty-
Only to be worse before it is better.

And the break of dawn is nearing the horizons,
Replacing the bitter sky with sweet dew.

You are the glimmer of sunshine in our eyes
The brightening glimpse of love in hate
The gleeful screech of joy at meetings,
